Believe it or not, but there is a short, stocky man that is showing up at high school basketball games, dressed in that team's uniform doing things like giving water to players, giving shoulder massages and even asking for piggyback rides at the end of the game. This is no joke and it has some very concerned about the safety of the kids. He has been nicknamed the 'Piggyback Bandit' and his most recent appearance was at a game at Century High School in North Dakota. Most just assume he is simply a fan who had come with another team.

He is actually 28-year-old Sherwin Shayegan of Bothell, WA and since last fall has shown up in Montana, North Dakota and Minnesota. So far, he has done mostly basketball games, but he has also gone to football, soccer and hockey games.

Jim Haussler, activities director for the Bismarck Public School District says at his game, Shayegan helped lay out uniforms, got water and gave a couple of shoulder massages which is very creepy. 'He makes himself appear as if he's limited or handicapped. I think he plays an empathy card", Haussler added.

Shayegan began this bizarre practice in 2008 and even though some of the players have been amused, parents and school administrators are anything but amused. Some believe he poses a real threat to the kids.

Shayegan was reached by phone recently and declined to comment until he had spoken with an attorney....good idea and get a good one dude...you're gonna need it. It should be noted that Shayegan does have a lengthy criminal record including being arrested for jumping on two unsuspecting high school athletes, very scary.
