Bread Of Life Ministry To Host Cowboy Con

If you're a fan of old western movies, you won't want to miss this unique cowboy event! Bread Of Life Ministry will host Cowboy Con, a fundraising event for the food pantry and clothing bank mission that the group has been serving in Warrick County since 1973. This will be their 14th year of fundraising events like this, but for me, this one takes the cake! Cowboy Con will be held at Camp Brosend in Newburgh, the weekend of August 14 - 16. Your chance to rub shoulders with some real Hollywood cowboys is at this event. Meet and greets with the actors from your favorite westerns, as well as Hollywood producers and stuntmen, are just a few of the features of this event. Western shows, movies, reenactments, and a tractor show are some of the other features throughout the weekend. Ticket prices start as low as $25, and participants are encouraged to dress in Western-style attire.

Which Celebrities and Actors Will Be There?

If you like western movies at all, you've heard of The Duke, John Wayne. My father was actually named after him. He may very well be the most famous Western actor of all time, but clearly, I'm biased. However, his son, Patrick Wayne, who is also an actor, will be attending the event. Patrick and his father, John, were in ten films together before his father passed. Martin Kove, more popularly known as John Kreese from the Karate Kid series, will also be in attendance. Before the Karate Kid, Kove had roles in hits such as Rambo: First Blood Part II and the TV Show Cagney & Lacey. Music fan? Multiple songwriters will be present. Keith Burns of Trick Pony will also be present, discussing the tips and tricks he's developed in his 30-year career in music. Cody McCarver, who spent over a decade with Confederate Railroad, has since had a stellar solo career. McCarver has performed with the likes of Charlie Daniels, David Allen Coe, and Merle Haggard. You can catch McCarver and more at Cowboy Con!
