Chuck E. Cheese’s Is Getting Rid Of Their Animatronic Animal Band
Do you remember being a child, going to Chuck E. Cheese's and being terrified of the band on stage? If you wanted to play the games, you had to eat first - which meant that you had to watch the creepy animal band on stage.
How could you forget the band?! I can remember being a kid and my friends daring me to peek behind the curtain to see if they were still back there. That was such a bad idea! I looked under the curtain, only to see the band looking down at me...I was traumatized.
Apparently, children will no longer have to worry about the band much longer. Chuck E. Cheese's is slowing wiping out all of the animatronic animal bands. They started in San Antonio, and soon enough, they will probably be out of all of the restaurants
According to the company's CEO, they are getting rid of the band because, "The kids stopped looking at the animatronics years and years ago, and they would wait for the live Chuck E. to come out."
That's probably because they were so scary to a five year old...just a former five year old's opinion.
The company is going through a big revamp and the fate of the bands lies with how successful the newly redesigned locations do. To read more on this, check out the full CBS News article here.
