Christmas in July: Beat the Heat with Kentucky’s Epic Year-Round Light Display
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas just without the cold temperatures.
Patti's 1880's Settlement
Patti's 1880's Settlement is known for serving up delicious food in a great atmosphere. If you have ever been to Grand Rivers, Kentucky there is a good chance you've been to Patti's (and if you haven't what are you waiting for?). There are several shops around the 1880s Settlement and so much to see and do. However, at Christmas time, Patti's 1880's Settlement goes all out with their annual Festival of Lights.
Every year it is a tradition on my husband's side of the family to take a trip down to Grand Rivers and check out the Festival of Lights. The Christmas lights are a stunning sight to see, and it's always so much fun to take pictures with the lights, and of course, eat dinner at Patti's. But expect it to be wildly packed during the Christmas season. So if you really want to take in the lights, without the cold weather and smaller crowds, as they say, " 'tis the season."
Festival of Lights
Back in February, Patti's made the huge announcement that their annual Festival of Lights was going to be up all year long, and yes, that include in the warm summer months!
Christmas in July (Literally)
Patti's took to Facebook to remind everyone that their Festival of Lights is still glowing through the summer months. They say the display is on every evening from dusk to 10 PM. It's free to walk through the Festival of Lights, and you don't even have to eat at Patti's restaurant to go through it. So if you want to experience Christmas in July, this definitely sounds like a good way to do just that!
