New Harmony, Indiana is a small town with a lot of history. Not only is New Harmony just a beautiful quaint little town just outside of Evansville it is full of history. New Harmony is a national historic landmark and was first settled over 200 years ago.
Settled in 1814, New Harmony was first a spiritual sanctuary for the Harmonie Society and then a haven for international scientists and scholars led by Robert Owen in 1825.
With a history dating back more than two centuries, this gorgeous little town is soon going to be hosting an old-fashioned Christmas celebration that you won't want to miss.
Christmas in New Harmony
New Harmony is hosting a special Christmas celebration the first weekend in December that will include a lighting ceremony of their Christmas tree, carolers, plenty of shopping, and a parade. The festivities begin on December 1st and run through December 3rd with fun events happening each day.
Our celebration includes parades, vendors, food, music, children’s activities, Santa visits, a Gnome Scavenger hunt, horse and carriage rides, unique shopping and a wonderful house tour on Sunday!
