What’s Happening with the Former Cheeseburger in Paradise Building in Evansville?
The Facebook group Tri-State Restaurant Reviews is a great place to start if you are looking for answers about area restaurants.
Remember Cheeseburger in Paradise?
This is one restaurant that I don't think I ever had the chance to eat at. All of their locations closed in 2014, including the one in Evansville. The building has been empty ever since then. It's kind of tucked away near the Cracker Barrel, so it's probably been overlooked by developers.
Activity in Paradise
Recently there has been some type of activity inside and around the empty building at 8301 Eagle Lake Drive. This prompted a discussion on Tri-State Restaurant Reviews.
There is DEFINITE activity at the former Cheeseburger In Paradise building by Cracker Barrel. They’re been stripping stuff out into large dumpsters on-site & yesterday we saw new construction materials stacked behind the building. ANYONE know what’s happening & what is going in there finally? - Tracey McAllister Merrick
Of course, there will always be comedians in the comments. Some people joked that it is going to be a Dollar General or a car wash. The most helpful comments revealed that the activity is likely just storage for hotel renovations.
It is construction material from the hotel down the street and they’re using that parking lot to store the dumpsters. - Trey Schweitzer
I didn’t even think of that possibility. You’re correct, the Hampton Inn is getting a total Facelift it appears. - Tracey McAllister Merrick
