Who Doesn't Like Money?

It's that fundraising time of year again!  School is fully back in session, which means all of our kids need the community's support to fund the activities they choose to participate in.  As a proud Castle High School graduate, I'm always looking for ways to support my alma mater.  As a passionate fan of music, the bands are an easy group to support, and right now is your opportunity to help and win big with the Castle High School Bands Half Pot.

Go Knights Go!  Some Cool Facts About The Castle Bands

More than 250 Castle students participate in some aspect of the band, from marching band and winter guard to chamber and winter percussion ensembles; multiple music-crazed kids are looking for your help.  That's 13% of the entire student body!  The groups compete annually in over 35 competitions, traveling upwards of 10,000 miles or more.  Fun fact:  81% of Castle band students are actively on the honor roll, with grade point averages above 3.3.  The list of accolades and accomplishments the Castle Bands have achieved over the years is something to be proud of.  The Bands have represented Castle High School at the Indiana State School Music Association Marching Band Finals 32 times.  They also made it to the finals of the Bands of America competition (a national platform for the best high school bands in each state to compete) four times, an incredible feat.  To achieve this success, it takes a community to back the beat!

Where And How To Support Castle Bands

Half-Pot tickets are currently being sold, with all proceeds going back to the bands.  Last year's half pot closed at over $100,000, and this year's is growing as you read this.  Half pot tickets may be purchased from any Castle Bands family member, at Archie & Clyde's in Newburgh, all this week, and at the Newburgh Walmart this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  The more you buy, the cheaper they become, but the last day to get them is this Sunday, so act now!  All half pot and donation information to support the band can be found here.  More information on the bands in general can be found here.
