Carly Pearce Shares Her Truly Relatable Phobia
Carly Pearce has established herself as a strong independent woman who can do almost anything, but there is one thing that she can't deal with.
Pearce revealed her No. 1 can't-do-it, fuggetaboutit, dealbreaker in an interview with her record label Big Machine. “I have a really weird, true phobia of vomit," she confesses. "I genuinely worry when I’m sleeping on my bus with my band that somebody is gonna get sick and what would I do. Or in meet and greets, if somebody has thrown up...I mean, it’s a thing. I don’t know how to explain it."
We're not quite sure what would happen if someone felt barfy near Pearce, but we can imagine it wouldn't be a pretty sight. Pearce agrees, adding, “Anytime anybody is sick, I have fears. I don’t want to be around them for weeks. Vomit is my thing.”
Her phobia may have come from a former job, which involved a lot of dealing with other people's, uh, stuff. "I think the nastiest, worst job I ever had was cleaning Airbnbs," she tells Fox News. "You're cleaning toilets and cleaning bed sheets, and it's not glamorous, but I did it...so that I could still pursue music and write songs and play gigs, but it was nasty!"
We're assuming Pearce won't get "Closer To You" if you're unfortunately getting sick. But, if you're feeing well enough to go out, you can certainly get closer to Pearce while she's touring this year. This summer she will be hitting the music festival circuit along with jumping on tour with Jason Aldean on his Ride All Night 2019 Tour with Kane Brown.
