UPDATE

The Jeep has been found in Princeton and is being returned to Natalie!

ORIGINAL STORY

A Boonville woman is devastated after someone broke into her garage and stole her vehicle last night.

Boonville is a relatively quiet town. Not a whole lot of crime to talk about. Especially when it comes to vehicle theft. However, the talk of the town this morning is in regards to just that.

One of my friends, Natalie just bought her dream car two days ago. She purchased a red 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport. Natalie was so proud of it, and like many people do when they purchase a new vehicle she posted a photo of it after she got the keys. Her joy ended this morning when she woke up to find her Jeep missing from her garage.

According to Natalie, the Jeep was parked in her garage that was locked up. Around 4:30 a.m., the cameras at Linclon Industries saw a white van sitting at the stop sign by her house for an unusual amount of time. During that time, the cameras captured a shadowy figure in her backyard. It was then that the person broke into her garage door and shortly after, the vehicle was stolen.

She tells me that the video shows the Jeep pull out of the garage and head west onto Oak Street toward Boonville Middle School. Unfortunately, it was too dark to identify the person behind the wheel or the license plate number of the white van. However, Natalie did say that there have been reports of the Jeep spotted on Yankeetown Road around 5 or 6 a.m. this morning.
