Blake Shelton Bringing His Ole Red Chain Bar and Restaurant to Indy

Every year, my husband and I go on an anniversary trip with two of our close friends, Brad and Connie. A couple of years ago, we chose to go to Gatlinburg, where we ended up spending an entire afternoon and evening having a good ole time at Blake Shelton's Ole Red. We were having such a good time, we simply couldn't leave. In fact, I think Brad and I were politely asked to leave the dance floor. The music was fantastic, the service was above par, and the atmosphere was everything you would expect from Blake Shelton.

Lucky for us, that same atmosphere is now coming to Indianapolis.

Shelton recently announced that he will be opening a new location for his chain restaurant, bar, and live music venue, Ole Red, in Indianapolis. The 37,000 square foot, multi-level venue is expected to open in late 2027 and will be located in the heart of the Fieldhouse District at 231-235 S. Meridian St.

Ole Red is actually owned by the Opry Entertainment Group, a conglomerate in conjunction with the Grand Ole Opry, a select group that Blake Shelton has been a member of since 2010.

Here are the current mock-ups of the venue's day and night views.

Blake Shelton Celebrates Ole Red Opening With Indiana Fever Players

In classic Blake form, he didn't just visit Indianapolis to make the big announcement; he went ahead and made a surprise appearance at an Indiana Fever practice.

Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham was rendered speechless and incapable of finishing practice once Blake appeared with his custom "Shelton" jersey.

Cunningham says, "I just lost all focus," as she approaches Blake and meets him for the first time.

Check out the encounter below.
