Allow us to introduce you to this week's Piece of Cake Pet of the Week from the Vanderburgh Humane Society, Iris! See her in action!

Iris - 3-yr-old female. Look how cute & floofy she is! With her little head and not so little body.

We don’t know much about Iris because.... she was just transferred in to us from Hopkins County Humane Society!

Yes... a transfer IN of cats. Believe it or not we are actually pretty low on cats right now. (No, that doesn’t mean you should all come surrender your cats to “help us out.” People do actually say that. They want to “donate” animals to us. People are crazy.)
But seriously, we are super grateful that we’ve had such a good cat adoption rate lately that we were able to take cats from Evansville Animal Care & Control, Warrick County Animal Control, Hopkins County Humane, and we checked with Posey Humane too.
Don’t hold your breath — it won’t last, and in a couple months you’ll hear Kendall on the air begging for all the cats to just please stop breeding.

Iris is one of 10 who came from Hopkins. They are all pretty sweet and already ready for adoption. Her fee is $40. She’s already spayed and can go home today.
