Autumn Getaway Weekend at Patoka Lake

Gather 'round a warm glowing campfire (think s'mores!) with the whole family and get ready for non-stop fun at the annual Autumn Getaway Weekend at Patoka Lake.  

On Friday, October 14th and Saturday, October 15th, Patoka Lake's campgrounds will be the attraction for family and friends with lots of fun fall activities.  Volunteers and Naturalists will be cooking a Friendship Stew (with a little bit of your help),  a Dutch Oven Cooking Demonstration will be offered featuring 2 different desserts for everyone to sample. Create your own jack-o-lantern for the pumpkin carving contest, enjoy games, a decorating contest, Halloween crafts and children 12 and under are invited to "trick or treat"  and still more as part of the weekend's activities.

Pet owners can bring their furry four-legged friends too, as long as they're on a leash.  You can dress them up in a costume for the pet parade and costume contest.

All activities and programs take place in the modern campgrounds at the shelter house and large tents.
