As someone who was born and raised here in Indiana, and I plan to repeat that with my children, I can honestly say that I'm proud of my home. Granted, I know everyone's situation is different growing up, but I don't think that Indiana is a bad place to raise a family. Aside from the weather we have here sometimes, Indiana has a lot to offer families. Here in Indiana, we also have a lot of places full of southern hospitality. These places are full of residents who show kindness, warmth, and are welcoming of visitors to their homes or towns.

With so much negativity in the world today, sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came...you know, kind of like the Cheers theme song.

What I'm trying to say, is that perhaps you might want to either visit or live in one of the friendliest places in Indiana. Well, thanks to Next Door, we now know the ten friendliest places to live in Indiana. In all honesty, looking at the list, I was kind of surprised to see a few of these cities/towns on the list. In fact, one of the towns is one that I grew up in.

As you can see, these places are all smaller towns. Cedar Lake is the biggest town on this list with a population of a little over 14,000. As someone who is from a small town in Indiana, I am proud of where I come from. Boonville, Indiana is a great place to raise a family and to call home. I don't care what anyone says. If you have ever traveled through some of these small towns in Indiana, most of these little towns in the state are pretty charming. There's so much hometown pride in these small towns. The small towns in Indiana are packed full of southern hospitality. A majority of those schools have chosen typical mascots to represent them, like eagles, tigers, lions, jets, patriots, and so on and so forth.
