Albion Fellows Bacon Center Offering Adopt a Client for Valentines Day
Be a part of Albion Fellows Bacon Center’s first ever Self-Care Valentine’s Day event and adopt a client who is working with the agency after having experienced sexual or domestic violence.
“Albion witnessed amazing support through the Holiday Season, allowing us to provide Christmas to over 110 individuals,” says Mallorie Cloum, Albion’s Community Engagement Director. “We look to carry this on, remembering that these random acts of kindness continue to allow us to provide hope to individuals, emphasizing that they deserve their love more than any other person.”
If you would like to adopt a client today, visit Albion’s
and have items shipped directly to the shelter. All Valentine’s Day based gifts are currently marked “most wanted” on the registry and are curated into mini self-care kits that will be distributed beginning on Valentine’s Day.
Albion operates 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. In 2018, the agency saw 4,020 calls to either their 24-Hour sexual assault or domestic violence hotlines and rendered services 4,148 times across 11-counties via their non-residential advocacy program. With an average stay of 21 – 22 days, 121 children, 3 males, and 229 women benefited from safe shelter. Additionally, Albion’s Prevention Program provided 1,304 students with safe dating information, 2,899 students with prevention focused presentations, and 1,858 community members with education & professional training.
