The women of country music dominated the 2019 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night (Feb. 10).

Kacey Musgraves swept all of her categories, taking home Best Country Solo Performance for "Butterflies" and Best Country Song for "Space Cowboy." Musgraves also won Best Country Album and the mainstream Album of the Year category for Golden Hour.

Brandi Carlile was also a big winner, taking home Best American Roots Performance and Best American Roots Song just moments later, both for her song "The Joke." Directly after that, she also won Best Americana Album for By the Way, I Forgive You.

Country women played an exceptionally large role in the Grammy Awards nominations in 2019, with Carlile leading all female artists who were nominated. She was nominated for six Grammy Awards in 2019, including in the mainstream categories of Album, Song and Record of the Year.

Maren Morris was also nominated for Song and Record of the Year for "The Middle," and Margo Price was nominated for Best New Artist alongside Luke Combs.

The 2019 Grammy Awards televised ceremony took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif., hosted by Alicia Keys.
