Our 14th annual 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive is this weekend (December 2nd, 3rd, and 4th) at Walmart on Evansville's east side, and once again we're fortunate enough to have Santa and Mrs. Claus take time out of their very busy schedules to join us for a little while all three days.

The annual 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive is without a doubt one of our favorite events every year as we ask you to help us fill a 53-foot semi-trailer full of new, unwrapped toys for the kids. Like we've always done since day one 14 years ago, we'll set up camp in the front corner of the east side Walmart parking lot in Evansville (in front of the Lawn & Garden entrance) and begin our 60-hour marathon drive at 6:00 AM that Friday morning and continue around the clock until 6:00 PM Sunday evening. Even if you work second shift, or you're just a night owl who likes to shop while everyone else is sleeping, someone will be on-site to take your donation. All donations will be divided among the following hospitals and medical facilities:

  • Deaconess Gateway & Deaconess Midtown
  • Ascension-St. Vincent
  • Ascension-St. Vincent - Warrick County
  • Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at Ascension-St. Vincent
  • Both Evansville Ronald McDonald House Locations
  • Evansville Psychiatric Children's Center
  • ECHO Health Clinic - Downtown Evansville

As we've done in previous years, we'll have Santa set up in his very own heated tent in the parking lot right next to our broadcast tent and the trailer we'll be filling with your toy donations.

  • Friday, December 2nd: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
  • Saturday, December 3rd: 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM
  • Sunday, December 4th: 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM

We won't have a photographer on site, so be sure to bring a camera or your phone so you can get pictures of the kids telling Santa how good they've been this year.
