Here's how you can help with the 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive while enjoying some fun high school basketball.

What is the 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive?

911 Gives Hope is a local non-profit group of Police Officers, Firefighters, and Paramedics dedicated to improving the lives of children and people with disabilities in the local community. 17 years ago, they had an idea to collect new, unwrapped toys ahead of the holiday season so that children spending the holidays in area hospitals would have a nice, new toy to help lift their spirits. We've been beyond fortunate to be a part of this mission from day one, and throughout the years, this toy drive has grown tremendously. With your help, the 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive has gone from collecting enough toys for kids spending the holidays in area hospitals to now, 17 years later, kids spending time in the hospital throughout the year receive a new toy.

Without question, this is one of our favorite events of the year. Once again, in 2025, with your help, we aim to fill a 53-foot semi-trailer full of new, unwrapped toys for the kids spending time in area hospitals.

When is the 2025 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive?

The 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive will be held December 5th through the 7th in 2025. Like we've always done since day one, 17 years ago, we'll set up camp in the front corner of the east side Walmart parking lot in Evansville (in front of the Lawn & Garden entrance) and begin our 60-hour marathon drive at 6:00 AM that Friday morning and continue around the clock until 6:00 PM Sunday evening. Even if you work the second shift, or you're just a night owl who likes to shop while everyone else is sleeping, someone will be on-site to take your donation.

No matter where you choose to donate that weekend, all of the toys collected will go right back to kids spending the holidays in area hospitals. In fact, you'll have the opportunity to be a part of this incredible toy drive while enjoying some high school basketball.

Make Your Donations with Boonville High School

This year, Boonville High School Athletics will be helping to collect donations for the 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive. You can attend one of two games next week and bring in a new, unwrapped toy for the 911 Gives Hope for the Holidays Toy Drive to get free admission into the game.

You can attend the Girls' Basketball Game on Wednesday, December 3rd, or the Boys' Basketball Game on Friday, December 5th. If you bring in a new toy, you can get into the game for free. More importantly, you will be helping put a smile on the faces of kids spending the holidays in area hospitals.
