Give the gift of a forever home to an animal currently under the care of an animal shelter right here in the Tri-State! Meet today's potential pet, Blade, currently under the care of It Takes a Village Canine Rescue!

Here's a little info on Blade from It Takes a Village:

Watch out Superman because a Superdog is now at the ITV Rescue Center! Blade is such a happy guy that everyone he meets instantly falls in love with him. He is a pretty laid back fella so would do great in most homes, although he also likes to play and be active. Blade is said to be a “lazy, gentle dog who acts like an old man.” Blade does well on a leash and he loves to be outside. He does well with keeping his kennel clean and house-training in a home if he is kept on a regular schedule. Blade’s favorite things to do are play, car rides, tug of war and fetch. He wants to be a lap dog, as if he doesn’t know that he weighs 58 pounds. He is about 4 years old. Blade knows the commands “sit” and “stay.” He lived with another dog his size, but he is not a big fan of smaller dogs or cats. Blade has come a long way after being rescued by Evansville Animal Control when he was wondering as a stray. After no one came looking for sweet Blade, ITV took him in and promised him we would find him a forever home. If you are looking to add a one of a kind Superdog to your family, please fill out an application at itvrescue.org. All of our animals are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
