If you're tired of spending a lot of money at the grocery store, you might want to avoid two of the worst in the country that are found in Indiana.

I don't know about you, but one of my least favorite things to do as an adult is to go grocery shopping. It costs so much to get so little nowadays. I'm sure you'll agree that when you go to the checkout to purchase your groceries, you are always shocked by the fact that you spent a whole lot of money even though your cart isn't even half full. Oh, and don't even get me started on the price of groceries in a full cart.

We all have our favorite grocery stores to shop at though. These are the ones that we feel give us the best bang for our buck. I enjoy places like Ruler Foods because I really can tell the difference in price at checkout compared to something like Walmart. That being said, there are all kinds of grocery stores across the state of Indiana that pride themselves in their lower prices.

That's right, we apparently have two of the worst grocery stores in the country right here in Indiana. One is a massive nationwide store, while the other has a few locations in Northern Indiana. Let's take a look.

Coming in at number five on the list is Jewel-Osco.

Jewel-Osco had mediocre ratings in all categories, except price, which fell into the “very dissatisfied” category.... It recently slashed prices to help drive sales, but the changes don’t seem to be making much of a difference among customers.

The second grocery store in Indiana is none other than Walmart. This store comes in at number 11. Let's be honest, we have all been there, and will most likely continue to shop for groceries at Walmart because of the convince. Here's what TheFiscalTimes says:

With currently over 3,000 in the country, Walmart “Supercenters” stock everything from dairy products to homeware, and the stores received scathing reviews on service, a poor review on food quality, a mediocre score on cleanliness, and had the highest percentage of shoppers – 32 – who experience three or more problems.
