Holiday World is always to looking to give visitors something new to experience each and every year, whether that's a new ride like the Thunderbird a few years ago, or the Firecracker back in 2017. Back in October they announced the new addition for the upcoming 2019 season wasn't an entirely new attraction, but a remodeling and re-branding of a long-standing feature inside the park, Kringle Kafe.

The restaurant will be renamed Santa's Merry Marketplace, and will be expanded to roughly 50% more space than before. It will also feature five serving stations along with more menu items, a coffee shop, bakery, candy store, and ice cream shop.

Work on the remodel has been underway since the park shut down for the 2018 season after the conclusion of their annual Happy Halloween Weekends at the end of October, and the park shared a pretty cool, interactive photo of the progress Thursday morning on Twitter.

Click the play button on the photo below, then click and hold the mouse button to drag the photo around to see everything done so far (make sure to point the camera up and down too).

While it's not much, it does give you a pretty good idea of how much larger this restaurant will be compared to Kringle Kafe. If you compare it to the artist rendering above you can get an idea of how the final project will look in real life.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the new Marketplace will be up and running in time for the start of the 2019 season which is set to begin Saturday, May 4th.
