After decades of service to millions of visitors, Holiday World will shut down the iconic Kringle Kafe on October 28th (the final day of their Happy Halloween Weekends and the 2018 season). It will be replaced with an even bigger restaurant known as Santa's Merry Marketplace.

The new restaurant will be "50% larger than Kringle’s," according to park president Matt Eckert, and will feature five serving stations offering "more menu items plus a coffee shop, bakery, candy store, and ice cream shop."

Santa's Merry Marketplace isn't the only new addition coming to the park as part of a $5.5 million investment for 2019. Other new features include:

  • New “Kids World” event for five weekends starting in mid-August
  • On-ride photos for Gobbler Getaway dark ride
  • Candy Cornucopia store and Dippin’ Dots Sundae Shoppe in the Thanksgiving section
  • Track improvements for The Voyage, the world’s second-longest wooden roller coaster
  • Additional Cabanas

Side Note: What do we have to do to be the first in line for Candy Cornucopia and the Dippin' Dots Sundae Shoppe? Yum!

Holiday World remains open each weekend for their Happy Halloween Weekends through October 28th, and will open for the 2019 season in May.
