Vanderburgh Humane Society Pet of the Week

Every week we feature different adoptable pets with our friends at the Vanderburgh Humane Society.  As with all shelters right now, the Vanderburgh Humane Society is currently overrun with adoptable pets who are just waiting for their forever home.  By giving each pet a spotlight we can hopefully find these pets their perfect forever homes.

Meet Amaya

Amaya is a three year old cattle dog mix that is currently at the Vanderburgh Humane Society in search of her forever home.  As you can tell from her photo, and the video below, she's a gorgeous girl and very playful!  It is important to remember though, Amaya is a working breed so she will do best with an active family who can help keep her active and her brain engaged.

Meet Amaya, a three-year-old cattle dog mix! Her breed is known for their loyalty, bravery and obedience. She most certainly lives up to these attributes and wants you to know that with them comes a great responsibility to keep her brain busy and body active. If you have experience with “working” breeds, or are ready for a pet that will make you the center of their universe, Amaya is the one! Her $150 adoption fee includes her spay, microchip and up-to-date vaccinations.
