You Can Be a Part of the Oldest Christmas Parade in Indiana

The city of Boonville is gearing up for its annual Christmas Parade, which happens to be the oldest parade in the state of Indiana, and you can be a part of the fun!

Boonville has a few claims to fame. There's Jeremy Spencer, the former drummer of rock band Five Finger Death Punch, Benjamin Bradley, who is the host of the Netflix series  Holiday Home Makeovers with Mr. Christmas, and Devin Mockobee who is the current breakout running back at Purdue, then there's me...host of the Afternoon Show on 99.5 WKDQ (I had to throw that in there for the fun of it). One other thing that the city is proud to have as a claim to fame is its annual Christmas Parade.

Boonville, Indiana's Christmas Parade is the longest continuous-running Christmas Parade in the State of Indiana. That's awesome! You don't have to be from Boonville to come out and get in on the fun. Anyone and everyone is welcome, not just for the parade, but for the whole weekend full of Christmas fun in Boonville.

77th Annual Boonville Christmas Parade

The 77th annual Boonville Christmas Parade will take place on Sunday, December 3rd at 2 p.m. It's always a fun time for all who attend and who participate in the parade itself. In fact, if your business/organization would like to secure a spot in the parade, you can contact the parade coordinator, Karen Hullett, at bnvlchristmasparade@gmail.com for an entry form. Christmas In Boonvillage

As previously mentioned, the parade is only one part of a whole weekend full of Christmas fun. The parade wraps up the weekend known as "Christmas In Boonvillage". The event runs December 1st through 3rd along the Square in Boonville.  Exact events and activities are still in the planning process, but a few highlights that weekend include shopping, food, children's activities, caroling, and lighting of the Courthouse.
