For the majority of the summer, O'Charley's on Evansville's east side has been hosting a live performance series giving you the chance to see and hear several up-and-coming songwriters from Nashville and other cities with the next one scheduled for this Thursday, September 28th.

The Summer Songwriter's Cafe was started by O'Charley's back in 2020 as a virtual series since everyone was stuck at home and couldn't go anywhere thanks to the pandemic, and featured artists such as Lee Brice, Tenille Arts, and others. The series has continued post-pandemic at locations around the country giving the previously mentioned up-and-coming singer/songwriters a chance to perform and possibly gain a new fan in you.

This week's artist is singer-songwriter, Landon Wall. Landon was originally scheduled to perform back in July but fell ill with tonsilitis. Now, he's all healed up and ready to put on a show for you this Thursday.

Landon has been performing since the young age of 12 and got his first taste of recognition when a performance video he posted on Facebook was viewed over seven-and-a-half million times. Not long after, he was named the "Grand Prize Winner" of Nashville Rising Star and signed a publishing deal at the age of 16 (!!!).

In 2016, he wrote and recorded the song, "Lost Boy," which was a response to Kelsea Ballerini's "Peter Pan." The song quickly picked up steam online and eventually got Kelsea's attention. So, she decided to surprise him by showing up at his performance at the Blue Bird Cafe in Nashville. Take a look at Landon's face when he realizes she's standing in the back of the room.

Fast forward to today and the now 20-year-old has a deeper voice, has grown an impressive beard, and continues to write and record several songs, including "Lost This Town" which he released earlier this summer.
