Whiskey Myers Coming to Ford Center in Evansville in May

Another great tour is making its way to Evansville with Whiskey Myers announcing the Ford Center in downtown Evansville will be a stop on their Spring/Summer tour.

Since touring resumed in mid-to-late 2021 when the restrictions of the pandemic began to ease, the Tri-State has seen a number of country artists add a venue in the Tri-State to their tour plans. In the past year and a half or so, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Jake Owen, Chase Rice, and Cody Johnson are just a few of the names that have played either the Ford Center, the Old National Events Plaza, the Victory Theater, or the Sportscenter in Owensboro. It looks like that trend shows no signs of slowing down in 2023 with Old Dominion, Kane Brown, Koe Wetzel, and Kenny Chesney all announcing shows at the Ford Center.

We can now add Whiskey Myers to that list. The band, which formed in Texas over 15 years ago, has gained a huge following over the course of its career with its ability to produce traditional-sounding country songs like "On the River" from its 2016 album, Mud...

...to southern rock jams like "Die Rockin'" from its 2019 self-titled album.

The band got a huge boost in exposure in 2018 when it was featured on the soundtrack to the hugely popular TV show, Yellowstone and made on-screen appearances in a few episodes where it was shown essentially playing themselves, a band performing in a bar.

The band released its most recent album, Tornillo back in July and has been touring in support of that album ever since.

Tickets for the May 11th show go on sale, Friday, January 13th at 10:00 AM Central time and will be available at the Ford Center box office and through Ticketmaster.
