When Will Indianapolis Host WrestleMania?
Off the heels of a spectacular WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, when can we expect WrestleMania to come to Indianapolis?
WrestleMania 41 just wrapped up in Las Vegas. The two-night event over the weekend was full of incredible matches, surprises, and some history-making moments. That's what WrestleMania is all about. Let's be honest, the WWE has been on fire lately. Breaking box office records and putting on some of the best shows we have seen in years. Many people have claimed that this new era, under the rule of Triple H, is very similar to the success that the company saw back in the 90s during the "Attitude Era." As a lifelong member of the WWE Universe, I love everything that is going on with Raw, SmackDown, and NXT as of late. However, as a Hoosier, I have been hoping that Indiana would play host to more of WWE's biggest events of the year.

The WWE and Indianapolis Deal
Last June, WWE and Indiana Sports Corp completed a deal for Indianapolis to host the 2025 Royal Rumble at Lucas Oil Stadium. On February 1st, the Royal Rumble drew an event record 70,347 attendees to Lucas Oil Stadium. The previous record was 60,447, set during the 1997 event in San Antonio. Fans were in attendance from 48 countries and all 50 U.S. states. The WWE was thoroughly impressed with Indianapolis. However, the exciting news didn't end with the Royal Rumble. A future WrestleMania and SummerSlam would come to the home of the Colts, as a part of the deal between WWE and the Indiana Sports Corp.
When Will Indianapolis Host WrestleMania?
We know that WrestleMania 42 will be held in New Orleans in 2026. So, when can we expect to see the spectacle come to Indianapolis? According to Sports Illustrated:
Further, the report from PWInsider (via WrestleTalk) also indicates that WrestleMania 43 in 2027 could be held at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Now, it's not set in stone that WrestleMania will be held in Indianapolis in 2027. A lot could change between now and then. However, multiple sources seem to think that Indy will be the host city in 2027, so fingers crossed! The last time WrestleMania was in Indianapolis was in 1992, when more than 62,000 people piled into the Hoosier Dome. So, Indy is long overdue for another WrestleMania moment.
