Cast Your Vote in the Annual “Coolest Thing Made in Indiana” Tournament
People love to vote for things online, especially if it's a chance to show some support for local businesses. It's cool to brag about something in your town that has won some kind of contest Right now Hoosiers are being asked to cast votes in a state-wide tournament being put on by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce - the Coolest Thing Made in Indiana.
What is the Coolest Thing Made in Indiana Tournament?
As the name suggests, this tournament is meant to recognize manufacturers in Indiana - companies that literally 'make' stuff. Nominated businesses have been matched up in a bracket-style tournament, with your votes determining who moves on to the next round.
This year's tournament features a 47-company field, with a wide range of makers and their products entered from 38 Hoosier communities. The field is composed of manufacturers from Albion, Angola, Batesville, Carmel, Columbus, Decatur, English, Evansville, Gary, Grabill, Granger, Greencastle, Greenfield, Greensburg, Greens Fork, Indianapolis, Jasper, Kendallville, Lafayette, La Porte, Ligonier, Logansport, Matthews, Mitchell, Muncie, Nappanee, Nashville, Pendleton, Peru, Plymouth, Seymour, South Bend, St. Meinrad, Syracuse, Terre Haute, Upland, Wawaka and Woodburn. How/Where/When to Vote
Voting for round one is underway right now and continues through November 1. Voting is online and is free and open to everyone. Go ahead and cast your vote for round 1 here. The dates for the rest of the tournament are below.
- Round 1: October 27-November 1
- Round 2: November 2-November 7
- Round 3: November 8-November 13
- Round 4: November 14-17
- Semis: November 20-24
- Finals: November 27-30
The new ‘Coolest Thing’ champion will be announced on December 13 at the Indiana Chamber’s Best IN Manufacturing Luncheon.
