VHS Offering Low-Cost Vaccination Clinic This Saturday
Just like any family member, you want to keep your pets healthy. And just like with humans, that can sometimes be expensive. However, our friends at the Vanderburgh Humane Society are offering cheap vaccinations of your pets this Saturday (February 3rd) during their Low Cost Vaccination Clinic.
The Clinic will open at 7:30 a.m. and run until Noon with pets and their owners being seen on a first come, first served basis. Kendall Paul with the VHS told us Thursday morning they expect a number of people to take advantage of the offer so get there early to get a good spot in line.
Kendall also mentioned this is not to be used as an opportunity to have your sick pets examined. The Clinic is meant to your pets vaccinations up to date. While the vet will perform a quick wellness check, if they notice anything out of the ordinary, they will refer you to another veterinarian for a more thorough examination.
Vaccinations being offered during the Clinic include shots, heartworm, FeLV, and FIV testing, as well as dewormer and parasite prevention for dogs and cats at least 6 weeks old. The Clinic is open to any pet even if it wasn't adopted from the VHS, and even if you don't live in Vanderburgh County.
