The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office is asking for your help identifying and locating the two individuals above who they say shoplifted items from a Dollar General location in the area.

It's easy for our first reaction when we see stories like this to judge the person or persons who were caught on camera stealing, but the truth is we don't truly know their story or why they made the decision to break the law and take something that didn't belong to them or that they didn't pay for. They may be in a situation where they feel they have no other choice in order to survive. With that said, at the end of the day, they still broke the law and must face the consequences of their actions. How severe those consequences will be is up for a judge to decide.

The Sheriff's Office posted the photo above to their Facebook page Tuesday afternoon and said both were suspected of theft. However, they did not specify which Dollar General location the theft took place.

If you have any information that will help investigators determine their identities and where they can be found, you can submit that information anonymously through the Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office website, or you can leave an anonymous voicemail by calling (812) 421-6297.
