Vanderburgh County Sheriffs Deputy Gets Sweet, Unexpected Gift

It feels so good when someone tells you that you're doing a good job. When it comes to your job, sometimes all the keeps you going is the occasional, 'Thank you for all you do,' especially when you are in a thankless job like law enforcement. For the enormous amount of good they do, the thank you's are few and far between.

I saw my friend, Shelly, post a pic on Facebook, of a moment when a precious and funny thank you came from unexpected place.

I was patrolling through a subdivision and was flagged down by three little girls who wanted to give me these beautiful flowers. I don't know who's flower bed they got them from, but it was such a sweet gesture.

I think Shelly should get flowers everyday. When you see a police officer, firefighter, EMT, or teacher, tell them thank you and how much you appreciate all that they do.
