Road construction is the headache we have to deal with for the improvement of our city, and more changes are heading to the Lloyd.

Road Construction in Evansville

In the Evansville area, we've become all too familiar with roadwork.  From the work on the Lloyd Expressway with the Lloyd4U project underway, to the work on Highway 41, the work on I-69, and countless county roads, it seems like every day our commute is impacted in a new way.

As frustrating as the construction is to navigate around, it's important to try and remember that in the end, this headache will all be worth it.

The Lloyd4U Project

One of the biggest roadwork undertakings in Evansville is the Lloyd4U project.  The Lloyd4U project began in Spring of 2024 and is scheduled to continue until 2028.  According to the Lloyd4U this project includes more than a dozen improvements that will overall make the Lloyd Expressway a much better experience to navigate.

TheLloyd4U includes more than a dozen improvement projects along the Lloyd Expressway. The projects extend from one end of Vanderburgh County to the other, from Posey County Line Road to Cross Pointe Boulevard. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) plans to invest more than $150 million in improvements to make the Lloyd Expressway more efficient and safer for motorists to navigate. In short, this project is about Making the Lloyd Work for You.
