All Makes and Models Available!

The Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) in Evansville has pets of all shapes and sizes. Or, as Executive Director, Kendall Paul likes to say when she stops by the studio on Thursdays, "all makes and models, and all certified pre-owned." They also have them in all ages, from puppies and kittens that are weeks old to dogs and cats who have been around awhile. So there is an excellent likelihood that the VHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! Each week we feature a pet of the week with the VHS, in hopes of helping them find their forever homes.  This week our Pet of the Week is a big goofy girl, who is heartworm positive, but don't let that deter you, VHS is treating her and she has a great prognosis!

Meet Trixie!

Trixie has been described as a gentle, big girl who loves everyone.  Her only fault is she is heartworm positive, but don't let that deter you, as she's already undergoing treatment at the VHS and will be just fine once it's completed.

Meet 4-year-old Trixie! Weighing in at 70 pounds, she is a big and goofy girl with a gentle nature. She gets along well with other dogs, has lived with kids, and is easy to walk on a leash. Trixie is heartworm positive, but her treatment will be covered by the VHS!
