Townsquare Media Employee Picks for Off-the-Beaten Path Restaurants to Try Eclipse Weekend
A little bird told me that we are supposed to have an influx of people coming to the tristate this weekend. There's an eclipse or something going on.
Usually, we can pop into any given restaurant and the wait isn't more than a half-hour or so. But, this weekend might be different. So, whether you are coming into the tri-state from out-of-town or you are considered a "local" (I've never been able to use that term in regard to Evansville) we came up with a list of some off-the-beaten path eateries to try.
Texas Roadhouse and O'Charley's are GREAT but they will be INSANE this weekend. Check out these homegrown eateries.

Lombardi's Pizza and Wings

What we love and what they get: They’re the only place outside of the Northeast that I’ve seen call themselves “New York Style Pizza” and it actually tastes like New York style pizza. Still waiting for ONE place that makes a Philly cheese steak that even slightly resembles a Philly cheese steak. // Authentic Brooklyn style pizza. It's like you're actually in New York! You can walk in, buy pizza buy the slice or order whole pizzas. They also cater.
