Top Communication Pet Peeve in Indiana Revealed
Communication frustrations can pop up anywhere these days, from phone distractions to loud music in public. Here’s what Hoosiers hate the most.

Everyone has their own "communication pet peeve" these days. For me, I personally can't stand when engaging in conversation with someone who is on their phone. Additionally, it drives me absolutely crazy when folks use their speakerphone during phone calls or play music without headphones in public. That said, it looks like I'm not alone, as many others seem to share similar feelings about these actions.
In September 2024, Gameland.gg conducted an independent survey of 2,000 U.S. residents. Participants shared their biggest communication pet peeves, whether they engage in these behaviors themselves, and how they typically address such situations. The study revealed the most significant pet peeves by state and generation. When it came to Indiana's biggest communication frustration, I was not at all surprised.

Now, when it comes to the most annoying communication frustration in Indiana, many Hoosiers seem to share a pet peeve we've already discussed a few times. Apparently, folks in the Hoosier State, like many others elsewhere, can't stand it when people talk on speakerphone in public areas. Additionally, this was the most common frustration shared across the entire United States. Do you have any more to add to the list?
