Last night my fiance' and I FINALLY got our engagement photos done.  And this was the first time we've ever done anything like this so it was a little nerve racking, but I learned some things, that may help you!

I know, better late than never on the engagement photos haha! But we both have been so busy that we feel like we haven't had a moment to breathe, let alone try and schedule pictures. But we finally got them done, yesterday and I cannot wait to share them with you! But while it's fresh in my mind I thought I'd give you a few tips!

1) Bring multiple outfits, even things you aren't sure you'll wear, because I'm going to be honest, I'm 25 and don't really know how to dress myself haha if it's not jeans and a t-shirt I struggle! But your photographer is a photographer for a reason, because they are pros.  They know what looks good together, what colors work nicely, and what is going to look the best based on the location.  We ended up doing 4 outfit changes, and I had a few pieces I didn't even wear.

2) Trust your photographer.  If your photographer says the weather won't work with your photos, listen to them.  You're paying for their professional service, and they know what they're talking about.  We already rescheduled our photos once before because the weather wasn't cooperating, and I'm glad we did because we ended up getting a beautiful evening last night!  Plus make sure when you book that you have a good relationship with your photographer so they understand your personality and how you are, and they can get a feel for your style.  I personally love my photographers, they knew my style, and took time to really find places that they felt would capture our personalities.

3) Don't worry about "posing" and not knowing how to. This is what I was most nervous about, but my photographer made it super easy. She showed us each exactly what to do, and how to pose, and I cannot wait to see the result!

4) Bring dog treats! If you're insane like me and want your dog involved in everything, including your engagement photos, bring treats!! And not the big ones, th small little training treats so they can eat a lot without getting a belly ache.  Our photographer was amazing with Wrigley and while she would be shooting a picture of me, Sam, and Wrigley, she'd have the other photographer hold up the treats and call to Wrigley so she'd look at the camera.

5) Have fun! There are only a few times in your life that you'll get to go out and get pictures made of you and your significant other, so enjoy the time together, and have fun with it!  I'm so excited to see the end result!
