First there was The Walking DeadThen Fear the Walking Dead. Now a third series joins the Walking Dead universe. Next spring there’s ... uh, it doesn’t have a title yet. But it’s a new series.

The show unveiled the first teaser for the show on social media.

The entire Walking Dead TV franchise — which is about to expand to also include movies, featuring former series star Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes — all stems from Robert Kirkman’s comic of the same name, which launched in 2003. Interestingly, Kirkman recently ended the Walking Dead comic after 16 years with issue #193. The TV/film world shows no signs of slowing down, though, with ten seasons of The Walking Dead, five seasons of Fear the Walking Dead, and now this untitled third season waiting in the wings.

The spinoff’s co-creator Scott Gimple has previously said the new show will be “completely different” from The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead. One imagines it will not be so completely different that it doesn’t have, like, zombies in it. There’ll still be in there. We’re guessing the words “walking” and “dead” will probably be somewhere in the title too.
