Monster Truck Obsessed

My dad is a gearhead, and so I grew up going to car shows, race tracks, and of course monster truck shows.   Once I got older, I stopped going to those things as much as I used to, and to be honest, I had totally forgotten how much I enjoyed watching big loud engines do things that take a whole lot of horsepower.  That is, until a 2-year-old little boy reminded me just how cool those big trucks really are.

Here's my dad and Riley at Summer Smash last year.

When my son was two, we took him to his first monster truck show, and we weren't really sure if he would like it.  But he wore his noise-canceling headphones like a champ and ended up becoming obsessed.   Riley's third birthday last September was even monster truck-themed. The kid can't get enough.
