In a pretty bold move, one or more suspects didn't bother waiting for the cloak of night to steal two jet skis from a home in Spottsville earlier this week. Instead they decided to swipe them in broad daylight.

The good news, if you can call it that, is that the Henderson Sheriff's Office was able to obtain photos from security cameras at two different Henderson businesses showing the vehicle used during the theft, along with the jet skis that were taken.

Henderson Watch shared those photos on their Facebook page Tuesday evening.

As is the case with many surveillance photos, the quality isn't great, however the Henderson Sheriff's Office did point out a few things they were able to detect about the vehicle that may help. Those are:

  • The stickers on the back glass
  • Spare/doughnut rear wheel
  • Sunroof
  • What appears to be a missing or broken front grille.

The surveillance cameras also allowed them to track the vehicles movements. It was last filmed crossing the Twin Bridges into Evansville and passing Trocadero Plaza across from Ellis Park.

If you have any information on who the suspects are, or recently spotted the vehicle somewhere in the Tri-State, contact the Henderson County Sheriffs Officer at 270-826-2713, Henderson County CrimeStoppers at 270-831-1111.
