Socialite Adoptable Rabbit Looking for a New Home at Indiana Shelter
Every Thursday, Kendall Paul, Executive Director of the Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) stops by the studio to share one of the many animals the shelter has that are looking for their forever home. Meet this week's Pet of the Week, a cute and fluffy rabbit that goes by the name, The Gray Mare.
Meet The Gray Mare
The Gray Mare (yes that is her real name, and no, we didn't name her that), is a one-year-old, all-gray rabbit (hence the name, we assume). While we don't know how she found her way to the VHS, we do know she's a big fan of people more than she is of other rabbits.
According to the VHS, The Gray Mare Is "way more social with people than other bunnies" and has been known "to nibble and headbutt strangers for pets." Due to her lack of love for others of her kind, the VHS feels she'd best fit in a home with no other rabbits. They also say she's very smart and loves passing the time by trying to figure out puzzle toys.
Her adoption fee is $50 and covers all the things every adoption fee at the VHS covers; her spaying, microchipping, and up-to-date vaccines. If you'd like to get a "hop" on the adoption process for The Gray Mare, or any of the animals the VHS offers that you might be interested in, you can fill out some of the paperwork in advance on the VHS website.
