So, Who Are The Civil Wars? [VIDEO]

Congrats to the Civil Wars for picking up the Best Country Duo/Group Performance award at the 2012 Grammy Awards. They took home the trophy for their debut album, ‘Barton Hollow.’ But, WHO ARE THEY?????

 While the Civil Wars music is obviously quality enough to earn them a Grammy and the national attention that comes along with it, it was frontman John Paul White’s acceptance speech that will be  remembered. White said, “I just lost a bet. I bet a man a bottle of whiskey that this would not happen.” Seems like this is the rare case of a bet that you are happy to lose.

 The duo beat out Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter and Thompson Square‘s ‘Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not’ for the award. WOW!!!

So you have to ask yourself, who are they???? Well, here they are......
