Sweet Senior ‘Land Hippo’ is Looking for Her Forever Home
Meet Lou, she's our VHS Pet of the Week, and she's looking for her forever home.
All Makes and Models Available!
The Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) in Evansville has pets of all shapes and sizes. Or, as Executive Director, Kendall Paul likes to say when she stops by the studio on Thursdays, "all makes and models, and all certified pre-owned." They also have them in all ages, from puppies and kittens that are weeks old to dogs and cats who have been around awhile. So there is an excellent likelihood that the VHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! Each week we feature a pet of the week with the VHS, in hopes of helping them find their forever homes. This week we have a sweet senior pitbull named Lou. She also is called a "Land Hippo" due to her gorgeous gray color.
Meet Lou
Lou is a 10 year old "land hippo" which is a fun nickname for gray pitbulls. She reminds me a lot of my Wrigley, because my Wrigley also has that sweet signature pittie smile like Lou! Here is what the VHS has to say about Lou:
Behold, a rare and beautiful land hippo waiting to make a big splash in your life! Meet 10-year-old Lou–This sweet pittie girl loves people, taking dips in the kiddie pool, and making you laugh with her endless quirks (just look at that smile!!) She would prefer to be the main squeeze in your life, but is open to meet and greets with other pups! Her $200 adoption fee includes her spay, microchip, and up-to-date vaccines. Interested in adopting Lou? Apply online at vhslifesaver.org. Being a senior, she is eligible for our Pets for Seniors Program–Learn more on our website: https://www.vhslifesaver.org/adopt/pets-for-seniors
