It has been an incredible year for concerts in Evansville with artists such as Kane Brown, Old Dominion, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, and Jelly Roll having already played here or scheduled to before the year comes to an end. It's really been an embarrassment of riches, and now we get to tell you about another big name putting the Tri-State on their tour schedule with the announcement that Scotty McCreery will be making his way to the Victory Theater in September.

We've literally had the chance to watch Scotty grow up right before our eyes since he won season 10 of American Idol in 2011 at the age of 17.

In the 12 years since that career-changing moment, Scotty got married to his longtime girlfriend and welcomed his first child, a boy, back in October of 2022. He's also become an incredibly successful country artist selling over three million albums, and scoring five consecutive number-one singles starting with "Five More Minutes."

His latest single, "It Matters to Her" from his most recent album, Same Truck, is currently sitting at number eight on the Billboard Country Airplay charts.

Scotty McCreery Coming to the Victory Theater in Evansville on September 1st

Scotty is currently on the road opening for some of his childhood heroes, Brooks & Dunn on the duo's Reboot 2023 tour which wraps up June 17th. Once that tour wraps up, Scotty will set out on his own with a number of shows at state fairs and festivals to finish out the summer. He'll then turn his attention to more traditional venues, including the Victory Theater on Friday, September 1st.

Tickets for the sale go on sale, Friday, May 19th at 10:00 AM through Ticketmaster and the Ford Center box office across from the Victory Theater on the Main Street Walkway in downtown Evansville. But, you may not have to worry about buying them because Travis Sams will have your chance to win a pair before they go on sale all this week. Make sure to listen between 3:00 - 7:00 PM for your chance to win.
