Saturday is National Homeless Animals Day, One Evansville Rescue is Celebrating with an Eclipse Themed Adoption Event
Saturday August 19 is National Homeless Animals Day, it's a day dedicated to keeping the overpopulation of dogs and cats in the public eye. One Evansville rescue is working hard to get as many homeless pets as possible forever homes, and they're doing it with an eclipse themed adoption event!
It Takes a Village No Kill Rescue located off Stockwell Road in Evansville, is working hard to get as many pets as possible into loving forever homes. With the eclipse coming up they decided it was the perfect time to bring out Total Eclipse of the Paws!
An adoption event with a cute name, and special adoption fees for the event! The event kicks off at noon tomorrow!
Saturday is International Homeless Animals Day! To honor and celebrate homeless animals, ITV will have "Total Eclipse of the Paws: Ending the Darkness of Homeless Pets." We will have adoption specials of only $55 for select dogs! We will also have a candle lighting service at 4 pm to honor homeless animals around the world. ITV merchandise will be on sale! Finally, we will have a limited supply of CE and ISO viewing solar eclipse glasses for $20 with proceeds benefiting our rescue! Come join us on Saturday to shine light on the homeless animals of ITV!

Both of my dogs came from rescues in Evansville, so the local animal rescues will always have a special place in my heart, in fact, It Takes a Village, is where my sweet George is from (he's the brindle one, Wrigley is the tan one)!
I do have to say, once you go rescue...you never go back. Okay, so it doesn't really flow, but you understand where I'm coming from!
