This loveable girl is ready to find her forever home. Let's learn more about this week's pet of the week, Sasha!

The Warrick Humane Society is an established no-kill shelter in Newburgh, Indiana. The shelter offers a safe place for animals to stay until they are adopted. Since the Warrick Humane Society does not receive any government funding, it relies on donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers to operate the shelter. They also have the Home Away Pet Spa, a grooming and boarding facility for the community, where all proceeds help the animals in the shelter.
The Warrick Humane Society has so many great cats and dogs in their care that need a loving forever home. So, there is an excellent likelihood that the WHS will have a pet that fits your lifestyle! That's why we are excited for this new partnership with WHS to feature a pet of the week every Thursday! Let's meet this week's Pet of the Week

Looking for the perfect family dog? Let me introduce you to Sasha. She is our Warrick Humane Society Pet of the Week. She's looking for his forever home, and it's up to us as a community to help her find it! Here's what the Warrick Humane Society had to say about our little friend, Sasha:

Sasha is a 1.5-year-old Heeler mix who is ready to find her forever home.

Sasha came to us at the end of January and gave birth to her puppies shortly after arriving at the shelter. After spending months caring for and raising her babies, her puppies went on to homes of their own, and now it's Sasha’s turn to be cared for, loved, and spoiled by a family of her very own.

She can be a little shy at first, but underneath that cautious exterior is an incredibly sweet and loyal dog who just wants a genuine connection with someone she can trust. Once Sasha bonds with a person, they truly become her person. She has a kind of quiet loyalty that makes her so special. She is also completely house trained and great with all other dogs.

Sasha walks well on a leash and enjoys going on runs. Her favorite thing is being close to the people she loves and trusts. While she may need a little patience as she settles into a new environment, she is eager for affection and companionship and has so much love waiting to give.

She is up to date on all vaccines, deworming, and prevention, is microchipped, and is spayed. She is ready to go home!

Sasha has spent so much of her recent life taking care of others. Now it’s time for someone to choose her.

If you’re interested in adopting Sasha, please fill out an adoption application on our website at warrickhumanesociety.org/adoption. Applications are reviewed in the order they are received. You’re also welcome to come meet her. We’re open Wed–Thu 12–7 and Fri–Sun 12–4.

If you are thinking about adding a new furry family member, Sasha is waiting! You can meet her at the WHS today!
