What a relief to see road crews removing the "High Water - Road Closed" signs from both Watson Rd. at US 60 in Henderson and then at the opposite end near the twin bridges at Stratman Rd. and US 41.  That is one of my main routes as I trek from the east part of  Henderson to downtown Evansville everyday.  Water is going down little by little after the floods of April, and people can travel like normal.  Also, looking at Waterworks Road, it may be another week, and that road may be passable as well.  I remember after the last flood, looking at the dark lines on the telephone poles along Waterworks noticing that the water had been higher than the roof of my SUV.  Pretty crazy, but here's hoping the Tri-State is good and dried out in the next couple of weeks!
