2023 was a fantastic year for country shows in the Tri-State. Old Dominion stopped by, as did Luke Bryan, Jelly Roll, Kane Brown, Kenny Chesney, and Scotty McCreery, among others. It will be a tough year to top, but 2024 already looks like it will get off to a great start with the announcement that Riley Green will be bringing his tour to the Ford Center in downtown Evansville in late February.

Riley burst onto the country music scene in 2019 with his debut album, Different 'Round Here which featured the platinum-certified single, "There Was This Girl."

He followed that hit with "I Wish Grandpas Never Died." A tribute to his own grandfathers, one of whom ran the Golden Saw Music Hall in his hometown of Jacksonville, Alabama which he credits for inspiring him to become a country music singer.

The success of those two songs along with his debut album earned him the 2020 CMA Award for New Male Artist of the Year. He's set to release his sophomore album, Ain't My First Rodeo on October 13th which features his new single, "Different 'Round Here" with Luke Combs.

Every Country Music Hit to Top the Billboard Hot 100 Chart

In 2023, three songs have hit No. 1 on both the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard's Country Airplay chart. Before that, just 20 songs had accomplished this. Here's the full list of those songs, including the five artists who have done it twice.

Oliver Anthony is the latest to accomplish this feat: In August 2023, his song "Rich Men North of Richmond" debuted at No. 1 on both charts.
