Registration Open for 2024 St. Jude Walk/Run on September 22nd
The annual St. Jude Walk/Run returns to Evansville in September, and we are inviting you to be a part of this event.
Treatments at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since the hospital opened in 1962. That's an amazing statistic. What's even more amazing is that patients and families at St. Jude never receive a bill for a single thing at St. Jude. How? Well, that is all thanks to various fundraising efforts and folks like you who donate to this incredible organization. One such fundraiser is coming up next month here in Evansville that folks of all ages can participate in.
The 2024 St. Jude Walk/Run Returns to Evansville
Last year, the annual walk/run moved from Burdette Park to historic Bosse Field in Evansville. Once again this year, the event will be held at Bosse Field on September 22nd. You are invited to participate in this family-friendly event to help raise funds to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude: Finding Cures. Saving children.
There is no longer a registration fee to participate. So, how do they raise any money? Great question. The answer is you. You're encouraged to set a fundraising goal for yourself or your team, then invite friends and family to make a donation. Or, you can simply make a monetary donation to the hospital yourself. When you sign up and fundraise, you help St. Jude keep its promise that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food.
So, join us in the afternoon for games, face painting, a kid's dash around the bases, and then walk with us to end childhood cancer. Together. Form a team and fundraise for the kids of St. Jude.
The event area opens at noon on September 22nd at Bosse Field. Participants can enjoy refreshments and visit various mission moment activations. Kids can get their faces painted, balloon animals from a local artist, play games, and much more!
Opening Ceremony begins at 1 pm. The kid's dash will start at 1:10 and kids will get to run the bases! Then the Walk/Run will begin at 1:15 pm. Afterward, participants can stay to watch the Colts game on the big screen and enjoy concessions!
You can register yourself or your team for the St. Jude Walk/Run right now by clicking here. We'll see you on September 22nd at Bosse Field!
