It may only seat 10 people, but this tiny eatery is known for its futuristic feel and out-of-this-world food.

Strange Indiana

I love a good strange or quirky find, and when I came across this diner, I knew it had to be added to my list of must-visit places this summer! I was recently reading an article from Southern Indiana where they named some of the more strange, unusual, and quirky places in the southern part of the Hoosier State, and one of those places was a teeny tiny sci-fi-themed diner that is full of pop culture references and top-notch food.

Lady Trons

Located in New Albany, Indiana sits a diner that is comically small next to the big buildings it sits next to, but it's personality is anything but small.  This diner has a sci-fi futuristic look to the outside that any fan of pop culture would love.  It somehow has a vintage, but futuristic feel at the same time.

According to Roadside America, this unique diner only seats 10 people.  According to a comment from Alexa on Roadside America, this was once a portable 1956 Valentine portable diner.

A vintage 1956 Valentine portable steel diner, with only 10 seats, has been transformed into a quirky sci-fi lunch spot with a science-fiction-themed menu. The building is painted like a space ship, complete with outer space on the ceiling and counter stools and a metal robot chef outside. The owner has an amazing collection of sci-fi memorabilia.

Go So. IN highlights Lady Tron's on their website saying this quirky diner serves soups and sandwiches and the perfect lunch spot.

Lady Tron’s futuristic diner setting is like going back and forward in time all at once! It serves fresh sandwiches and soups to adventurous foodies who like to get experimental. We highly recommend the Ripley, a pulled chicken sandwich with blueberry molasses sauce topped with sesame slaw.

New Albany is just outside of Louisville, Kentucky, so it's not a far drive from the Evansville area.  As a lover of all things vintage, and quirky, I'm going to have to stop by and check this place out! Plus I love a good soup and sandwich for lunch!
