I'm not sure why the Food and Drug Administration is just now realizing this, but they are suggesting non-dairy products like soy milk and almond milk are not "milk". Did I or they miss something? Now there's a recall that might reverse the FDA's suspicions.

Vanilla Almond Breeze milk is being recalled. HP Hood LLC is is voluntarily recalling about 145,000 half-gallon cartons that were shipped to two dozen states including in Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois.

Thankfully, there's only been one report of an allergic reaction and no treatment or hospitalization was needed.

The refrigerated product has a use by date of September 2, 2018. Consumers need to also be on the lookout for these product codes.
