Peyton Manning Sends Personalized Gift to Family of Reitz Student Logan Brown
On what would have been his 16th birthday Tuesday, Logan Brown, the Reitz High School student and football player killed by a drunk driver earlier this year, received a gift from his favorite NFL player that his family will cherish forever
According to 14 News, Logan's grandma, Gayle Ricketts, sent Manning a hand written letter to Manning explaining her grandson's story and how Manning was one of his favorite players.
On Tuesday, she received a package from the Denver Broncos which included an autographed photo of the superstar quarterback along with a hand written letter that read,
Dear Gayle,
I am very sorry for Logan's passing. Thank you for sharing his story with me. I can tell he was a very special young man. I am honored that he was such a big fan of mine. May God's peace be with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Payton Manning
Despite your feelings toward Manning, for someone who no doubt receives countless letters on a daily basis requesting all manner of items, the fact that he took the time to put together this special package for a fan speaks volumes about the type of person he is.
